ACCESSIBILITY | wheelchair
Commute: Accessibility Walk
Studio: State Council on Disability

All modes of transportation face a critical question: Can everyone access them equally?
In this episode, we take a new approach to our commute segment and go on an Accessibility Walk in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood. Our simulation includes using a wheelchair and vision impairment goggles as we navigate the area with Kjensmo Walker, founder of This Inclusive Life.
Next, we meet Joan Willshire from the Minnesota State Council on Disability in the studio where we discuss the agency's work, how Minnesota is addressing accessibility in its transportation options, and what opportunities are presented by self-driving cars for people with disabilities .
